Visa
If you are a foreign national and plan on traveling to New Zealand for tourism, business, or other reasons, you will need a visa to enter the country. Depending on the reason for your visit to New Zealand, you must apply for a specific type of visa or an NZeTA travel authorisation.
If you are eligible for the NZeTA travel authorization, which is available for over 60 nationalities, you can apply for it online and save yourself the waiting time at the airport. This is for people travelling to the country as tourists.
If you are travelling for other purposes or wish to stay longer, you will have to apply for a visa
NZeTA
It allows citizens from the 60 countries in the Visa Waiver Programme to travel to New Zealand without the need to apply for a Visa Visitor. Simply by applying for the NZeTA online, these 60 nationalities can travel to New Zealand, and stay for a maximum of 3 months. The NZeTA travel authorisation has 2 travel options: transit and sightseeing.
With the NeTA you can:
Stay in New Zealand up to 3 month
Visit family and friends
Enjoy a holidays
To be eligible for this visa, you must:
Have a valid passport: The passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the date of entry into New Zealand.
Have booked the entry and exit flight.
You must be in good health
You must have enough money, at least NZ $1,000 for each month of your stay, or if you’ve already paid for your accommodation, NZ $400 for each month of your stay.

Covid-19 vaccines or testing requirements are no longer compulsory for travellers to New Zealand.
